Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs all use of VidGen's AI-powered content generation platform at vidgen.pro. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy in full.

VidGen is a creative platform designed to empower individuals and organizations with powerful AI tools. To keep the platform safe, legal, and beneficial for everyone, the following rules apply to all users.


Prohibited Content and Activities

1. Non-Consensual Synthetic Media

Strictly prohibited:

  • Creating deepfake videos, face swaps, or any synthetic media that replaces or manipulates a real person's likeness without their explicit written consent
  • Impersonating any individual — public figure, celebrity, or private person — through AI-generated video or audio
  • Generating content that makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not say or do
  • Using VidGen to produce content that could constitute defamation, harassment, or reputational harm against any individual

2. Illegal and Harmful Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement:

  • Content depicting, promoting, or inciting violence, terrorism, or criminal activity
  • Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or harms minors in any way
  • Content promoting hate speech, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
  • Content that facilitates illegal activities, drug trafficking, weapons distribution, or financial fraud
  • Harassment, threats, or intimidation campaigns targeting specific individuals

3. Intellectual Property Violations

  • Uploading or generating content that infringes on third-party copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets
  • Using VidGen to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Generating content that violates the publicity rights of others

4. Platform Abuse

  • Automated bulk generation, scraping, or bot-driven usage beyond normal individual use patterns
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or enforcement actions
  • Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of VidGen's systems
  • Distributing, reselling, or sublicensing access to VidGen without authorization
  • Generating spam content or using VidGen for unsolicited mass distribution

5. Deceptive and Manipulative Content

  • Creating synthetic media intended to deceive viewers about its AI-generated nature in a harmful context
  • Fabricating news, evidence, or statements attributable to real individuals or organizations
  • Using VidGen outputs in political advertising or election-related materials without proper disclosure

Permitted Uses

VidGen is designed to support a wide range of legitimate creative and professional applications:

Creative and Entertainment:

  • Original storytelling, film production, and creative video projects
  • Social media content creation, brand videos, and promotional materials
  • Music videos, visual art, and experimental creative projects

Business and Professional:

  • Marketing videos, product demonstrations, and explainer content
  • Corporate training videos, onboarding materials, and internal communications
  • Educational content, tutorials, and e-learning materials

Personal and Hobby:

  • Personal creative projects using content you own or have rights to use
  • Experimenting with AI capabilities for learning and self-expression
  • Generating original images and artwork for personal enjoyment

Content and Rights Requirements

All users must:

  • Only upload content you own outright or have explicit permission to use
  • Ensure you have obtained appropriate consent from any individuals whose likeness appears in your uploaded content
  • Respect copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws applicable in your jurisdiction
  • Maintain records of permissions and licenses for content used in commercial projects

Enforcement

Monitoring

VidGen employs automated systems to detect policy violations. Suspicious or flagged content may be reviewed by our moderation team. We reserve the right to remove content and take action on accounts at our discretion.

Warning System

  1. First Violation: Written warning and immediate content removal
  2. Second Violation: Temporary account suspension (7–30 days depending on severity)
  3. Third Violation: Permanent account termination

Immediate Termination

The following violations result in immediate permanent account termination without warning:

  • Any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors
  • Credible threats of violence against specific individuals
  • Deliberate creation of deepfakes intended to cause demonstrable harm
  • Coordinated platform abuse or fraud

Reporting Violations

If you encounter content on VidGen that violates this policy, please report it to [email protected] with the subject line "Content Violation Report". Include a description of the violation and any relevant URLs or content identifiers. All reports are reviewed promptly.


Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to use VidGen. We do not knowingly permit minors to access our platform. Accounts found to belong to minors will be terminated immediately.


Legal Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of VidGen complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws. VidGen operates globally; users must comply with the laws of their own jurisdiction in addition to this policy.


Updates to This Policy

We may update this AUP to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated via email and a notice on our website. Continued use of VidGen after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
